4. Petronella May McLEAN

Petronella May McLean was born in 1894. Petronella gets her names from her mother's, mother who was named Elizabeth Petronella Loring. She was affectionately named "Ella".

As a young child of one year old, she pulled hot water onto herself and suffered severe burns.

There are a number of articles mentioning Ella McLean as a pianist in the areas where the McLeans lived over the years. This one below was in Comboyne in 1918 where the McLeans were a big part of the community.

She lived at the family home at 57 Clifton Rd Clovelly for as late as 1930 (36 yrs old). She married Francis John STEWART in 1948. They lived in the 57 Clifton Rd house after they inherited it from Henrietta when she died (1942)**(Henrietta's will mentions Petronella as executrix) Petronella died in 1962 and left everything including the house now worth over £5500 !!!
