Birth: 1889
Death: 11 Jan 1952
Frank Loring McLean (b. 1889) gets his middle name from his maternal grandmother’s maiden name. He moved to QLD sometime before 1930. He married a Danish woman named Louise Augusta Grave Olsen (nee Larsen) in 1930.
Louise was born in Copenhagen in 1883 and moved to Australia with husband Wilhelm Olsen. She had 3 children with her first husband, Louis (b. 1902), Frederick (1905) and Otto (1907). Wilhelm died in 1928. It is assumed Frank McLean met Louise sometime after this and they were married in 1930. It is not known if he had any relationship with his stepchildren. Frank was listed in 1928 as being the Brisbane Manager for a J.C. Williamson company, a dance and theatre production company.
Louise was fined and charged in 1937 for not stamping an unemployment book for an employee. She was working at what was probably a family business of her ex husband “Olsens clothing and shirt manufacturers”.
In 1942 when Henrietta died, Frank McLean left a Note in a QLD paper in memoriam for his Mum and it said "Henrietta Victoria, Beloved mother of Frank McLean (Penfolds Wines Brisbane)". He also is in a Voters List in 1943 in Kurilpa QLD with his job listed as "Traveller". In 1947, a Frank L McLean is listed in a QLD phone directory as living in a Factory? on Wickham St. He Died in 1952, his parents listed on the QLD Death index as "Jack and Henrietta Victoria McLean". His wife put a funeral notice in the paper.
