Welcome to the McLean Family Tree. This site is designed to be a record and a resource for the family to secure information and educate the younger generation of where their family has come from. There are many branches going back in all directions but this tree focuses on the McLean bloodline and those who marry into it.
Some information is personal, some would have been personal at the time of the persons being alive, but it is now published here to be a record of invaluable information for our continuing McLean bloodline. I urge you to respect the information, and trustingly contribute what you can to help paint the McLean Picture.

This site is split up into 3 main sections:
Each page is an individual profile about somebody's life. They are separated into Generations (Gen 1, etc) as these are the generations of McLean's that have been Australian. eg Gen 1 was the first Generation of Australian McLean's along our bloodline.
Gen 0 is the generation of Scottish ancestors that came to Australia. And Generation Scotland is everybody before that who lived in Scotland.
This site depends heavily on the contribution of living relatives. Our beloved family members who have already passed on lived exciting lives in completely different time periods. Their insight would have been very interesting and everyone must admit there are things that they would love to have asked their parents or relatives if they had the time.
Here is that opportunity to record those details... How people met, where you lived, what you did, your great achievements and maybe even your life lessons learnt.

Generations of photos from the old black, white and sepia to the HD photos of today can be found here. Sorted into albums to make them easier to browse through.
This is also a great way to store your family photos permanently. Children's photos, school photos, scans of certificates and all the rest can be stored here, and one day can be a great testament to the legacy you leave behind.
